  1. "Every" child may be an artist to some, but few grow up to actually become artists.

If you are already very creative and artistic, that will never go away.  Your career may end up to be something entirely different, but creativity will stay with you.

I know, because as a child, I was very artistic (had my stuff in the school displays), could help others when they got stuck for ideas , etc.

But, I became a nurse instead. So, for 25 years I was an RN, Nurse Manager at one time, the whole bit.

Due to unrelated medical problems it was necessary to go on disability retirement. But NOW, I decorate walking canes very artistically for the disabled.

Mind you, in all those years, I had never used my artistic talents.

Check out my web site to see examples of what I do now.  My artistic skills were just pushed aside for other priorities, but never went away.

  2. Our brain is most up and acting when we are kids therefore we are artist because we are more open to things. As to an adults mind is grown and is most closed to the way we percieve things.  Its the cross over we could never understand/ remember back to.  We can describe something adult to adult but a child will have his own adventure for himself making us continue in thinking.

To keep this skill you must continue to keep the openess of that which we had in our youth.  Growth is important if you are uneasy in growth you will fail in the field of art.  You either have it or you dont. if you dont you will find yourself drawing the same things over and over or even making replicas of people you admirer.

    yeahh

  7. You don't, it is called the real world.

  8. Not every child is an artist, so it depends on the skills they keep as they grow up and if they really are into art, then they will continue doing that

  9. true artists have a combination of inborn tendencies and acquired skills.  our natural tendencies are often stifled or reshaped by others, sometimes in the process of being trained.  there are many good books on the subject, including "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain"

  10. Keep excersizing your imagination and never stop doing artistic things.

  11. It depends on how long the child stays interested - if it's long enough to develop it as an actual skill with a preference over other activites, they have a much better chance of being an adept artist later.

  12. keep an open mind, and stay true to yourself. let your imagination wander

  13. Practice, practice, practice
