If every guy in the world is blind, would women stop wearing make up?

What if it is the women who cannot see? Would they still pay some guys to put it on for them?

I dont like makeup.. a little is alright.  I feel this way because I am aware 'buying and wearing makeup' is nothing but a by-product of a larger system.

Created by capitalism, this money making gambit is pushed upon us and deep within us through many different channels just as if it were an addictive narcotic.

Make as many excuses as you want, but at the end of the day women wear make up to make themselves attractive to men. And the 'self confidence' that comes from wearing make up is because you feel more attractive, and therefore more valuable (a woman's attractiveness being inextricably linked to her worth in society).

I think that if every guy in the world went blind, women would wear make up for a little while, out of force of habit. But after a while they'd stop because it wouldn't affect their social value anymore, because there would be more interesting things to spend their money and time on.

Women will always wear make-up - otherwise, why would they make themselves up for situations that men aren't allowed (bridal showers, girl scout activities, etc.)?

If the woman couldn't see...some blind women actually can make themselves up w/o help (I've known two)...yeah, they'll pay for it, but why do you assume that only guys would make them up?

Even if EVERY guy on earth was blind, I would still put on make up.

I doubt. Women feel confident when they put on make up. It's like a mask that covers their flaws, even if it's to impress other women they would still wear it. On the other case, if all women were blind then I wouldn't be surprised if there were still a few that would put make up on.

I think women wear make-up for themselves or for other women, not for men particularly.  A well groomed woman is a statement of self confidence and care.  A slovenly woman is quietly saying that she just doesn't care anymore.  Its more about attitude than anything else.  It's not just make-up I'm talking about....hair and clothing play a role also.
