Suppose the gov. required autos to be 4 cyl. engines, except special needs.

Any auto with larger engines would require a permit.

1. Would that be accepted by the public?

If every houshold reduced gas consumption, electric, natural gas, and water usage....by that amount....What do you think would happen to prices?

a. Remain the same?

b. Go down?

c. Increase?

  1. Yeah, if I were in charge, I would implement that plan. But there are so many that still apparently think we will have unlimited petrol and that there's nothing wrong with breathing the emissions day after day.

To me it only makes sense to develop solar power because we will all be dead long before the Sun burns out. --I don't care how environmentally retarded someone is, they can't argue fossil fuels as being a permanent source of energy.

Also, the electric cars are really taking off, figuratively and literally (http://youtube.com/watch?v=BqqtJpfZElQ not the best vid, but you'll get the idea).

But, until the dinosaurs return to extinction, one way we can all reduce our gas consumption is (shameless plug) by using MPG-Caps and other fine products by Fuel Freedom International. Check it out, please: wilsonresearch.myffi.biz

My 360 page has more info. and I am always open to in-put!

    Thanks!

  2. If Al Gore reduced engery usage at his house by 50%, he would use the same amount as 12 adverage households.

  3. No it would not be accepted by the public.  No one wants the government controlling our lives.  If you have a problem with energy conservation, then become an advocate for personal change, not for governmental control.

  4. Prices would go up. Utility companies wouldn't be making a profit so prices have to climb. What you propose is not realistic, however. 4 cylinder engines - Ain't gonna happen. What about all current cars (like mine) that are 6 cyl. Are we just gonna have to junk them?

Also, how do you reduce water usage by 25%? If you have a family of 4, then 1 person now can't take a shower?

  5. If we cut use by 20% the elite can fly in bigger jets and upgrade the limos.

  6. Why do people demand the gvmt force them to do things they should be doing if they really cared?

You wouldn't buy a more cost effective car unless you were forced to by the gvmt?

    Wow!

  7. If everyone did it voluntary and stuck with it, prices would drop a little bit.

However, if Govt. mandated, prices would remain relatively the same, because of the tax on fuel increase to offset the loss in revenue.

Also, global 'green' BS is a lie and has been around since the 60's and every decade some liberal idiot thinks up a new scheme or scam to siphon money out of the fellow liberals whom believe the BS to be true.

    Ex: Gore...

    Mr Green himself...

Claims carbon neutral.. Hmm, yet his 'carbon footprint' is 10x+ more than the average person and he says he uses 'green energy'? Guess who owns the electric company he uses? Your right, Gore does!

Also, everything that is electric powered comes at a cost. Most electricity comes from Nuclear Power and their waste goes into landfills and is buried. So tell me, how truly efficient is going 'Green'?

There is no substantial difference and the 'Green' thing is just a new turn on an old scam to swindle money out of people.

  8. Prices will increase, bozo. Have you ever seen them go down?

Why are you so worried about the USA? We are no longer the energy sucking mammoth we used to be. Go talk to China. Leave us alone. We've cut back about all we can.
