Al Gore is all about saving the world but doesn't practice what he preaches. How is foisting off air pollution on others through the use of carbon credits really reduce pollution? Sounds like blackmail. Shouldn't Al live the life he lectures us on living? Seems hypocritical! How am I wrong!

  2. Al Gore does not buy any carbon credits.  They are given to him by his employer.

  3. carbon credits are a scam that business and politicians have hit upon that let the average citizen think that carbon emissions are being reduced when they are just be financed differently through the trade of credits between one polluting industry and another - often among companies that are affiliated under the ownership of the same corporation

  4. I don't buy the GOREBAL WARMING issue.

Besides if Uncle Al really believed what he preached in the Inconsistent Truth movie, he wouldn't live in that 10,000 square foot house he owns.

Have you noticed that he always shows up in gas hog limos when he attends public events? What a statement he could make if he pedalled a bike or drove a hybrid.

One of the things he does that bugs the heck out of me, is his pushing of those florescent light bulbs. Has he addressed the mercury issue in the landfill? These bulbs in all likelihood (or most of them) will not be recycled properly. So when their sitting in the landfill being crushed, they will leak out the mercury that's inside them

  5. It is hypocritical.  The gist is that carbon offsets are supposed to reduce your carbon footprint to neutral, meaning you have no impact on the environment.  The biggest problem is 'what really reduces your footprint to zero?'  They used to think trees, but now they say that increased planting (food/trees) is adding to global warming.  Such that the carbon offsets bought last year were not really offsets at all, if they were used to plant trees.  Does Al Gore really know?  He doesnt care!  There are plenty of sheeple in the U.S. that believe him, so-- lets all be like Al and have a strip mine on our property, while purchasing 'phantom' carbon offsets, from companies we own!
