  1. drink

  2. If Christians evolved from Jews, why are there still Jews?

If Americans evolved from Europeans, why are there still Europeans?

If your second cousin once removed is better looking and smarter* than you are, why do you exist?

*You're asking this question, not your second cousin once removed.

This question is asked almost every day.  Doesn't God have a thing against vain repetition?

  3. 1. Evolution is incredibly slow....you will Never in your lifetime or in 50 lifetimes see evolution occuring.

    2. secondly, just ot make it clear...WE did not evolve from monkeys, or apes. around 10million years ago there was a common ancestor to both apes and humans. Some genetic mutations occured and over a LONNNNGGGG time the apes and humans evolved to become more separate in looks and their genetic makeup, probably led by climatic changes which caused changes to the environment and promoted changes to the human ancestors.

This situation will never occur again as evolution is the result of adpations and envinronmental conditions will never be the same again.

    3. Monkeys of the time 10 million years ago are not the same species that occur today, THEY too have evolved, just like the trees and other plants, insects, fish, birds have changed, just like the environment has changed. Evolution has not only occured in human ancesors but EVERYTHING...people just get wound up about the humans.

    4. There is ample evidence of evolution in humans with around 20 species of human like or homonid species discovered , with lots more probably around. Not all are considered to be direct ancestors to humans, but related eg H neaderthalensis ( neanderthal man), but there are lots of trends of change that show how they changed from ape like to more human like....look at the evidence, do some research and come to the same conclusion of the 99% of educated people.

  4.   Evolution is more of a "tree" with many branches than it is a straight line. Everything dose not continue foreword with nothing being left behind.

There is really two different reasons that come to mind for me. The first is that evolution can be specific to environments. Yes, you are smarter than a dolphin, but can you out swim one ?

As a human you are smarter, and more resourceful than a monkey. However if you were left in the monkeys environment without anything but yourself and your intellect, could you survive?

Evolution is long term adaptation and everything has its niche in the world

Another way to look at it would be, if we have made advances in medicine and technology why are there still people living in huts dieing from diseases easily treated in another part of the world.

I hope the analogy made sense.

  5. irreducible complexity in the flagellum? means evolution does not exist, it breaks down the fabric of evolutions theory. Evolution is simply societies way for compensating for the mysteries of life.

  6. The fact that you ask this question means you don't understand evolution at all. Why do you think there wouldn't be monkeys?

I'd like to hear your answer....

  7. Infact, evolution never existed...

    Humans were humans

    Monkeys were monkeys...

And if evolution exists why are there still monkeys?

    So it doesn't

  8. Exactly....nothing seems to be evolving into anything which proves evolutionist wrong.

  9. Because having freakishly over-sized brains encased in skulls that are too thin to protect their contents is a maladaptive trait in arboreal primates. If you live in trees or climb them regularly having a fragile brain in an eggshell skull is an invitation to lethal brain injury.

Because our giant brains require an unreasonable amount of energy to power. The proportion of non farming humans to monkeys living in a jungle is and always has been massively in favor of monkeys because pound for pound they require less food to stay alive. The jungle is an energy intensive place to live, not much for an omnivore with an unspecialized digestive system to eat scattered over a wide area.

The divide between the ancestors of humans and the ancestors of living monkeys (apes) happened because of a reduction of Africa's forests. We're the primates who got stuck with the marginal territory, broken forest and grasslands. Unfriendly places for knuckle walking partially arboreal apes, adapt or die time.

  10. Your question is similar to someone asking, "if my ancestors came from England why are there still English?"

Humans did not evolve from current primate species but rather share a distant common ancestor with them. Our ancestor evolved one way and other primate species evolved another. There is a lot of basic misunderstanding of what evolutionary theory entails in your question and several of the answers that seems to indicate a lack of education on the subject. If any of you are interested in learning about evolutionary theory and the evidence I will provide some links and also suggest if not taking a course then reading through an undergraduate textbook or any of the good popular science books on the topic.

  11. Evolution is not a process that happens in a flash. And evolution doesn't mean that every animals (especially monkeys) must be humans. They have their own phase of evolution. The monkeys of today might be more brainy than those of the past.

  12. There is an advantage in the evolution of having a variety of species because certain species help each other survive (mutualism).  Plus there is no rule that says evolution has to have an upward mobility.  It's actually quite random.  So, all species, including monkeys, are there because it's more beneficial to co-exist.  Monkeys are perfect the way they are, in their own way.  They fit in (at least try to) with the forces of nature / evolution, and they are there not by accident, but because they were the survivors who were able to pass on their genes.

  13. Darwinism is wrong, there is many controversy around this. the evolution theory never have strong proof and no one can find one (because is just hoax) you know this theory is one of the biggest conspiracy man ever made!

  14. Adaptation is the true key... not evolution... When a species moves to a new location they will adapt to survive... the theory of evolution states that it takes years for a species to evolve.... Quite frankly if it took years for them to get comfortable... They would be dead.

  15. Because the niche for monkeys still exists in their ecosystem.
