Who said that evolution wasn't true? Of course things evolve.

Now, if you're asking about macro-evolution, that is nothing more than a continuation of the observed traits of change and adaptation, also interbreeding. Science took the next step, fabricating explainations to explain a wide array of unknowns.

It is similar to our legal system. If we were a written statute, we could look around us, seeing the law interacting in all facets and in all levels. It is like the statute saying that we all originated from just one word, and it evolved over time. Didn't see the laws being created because we are just a word on a page, but it all originated from one word, because there are only 26 similarities in words, the arrangement is just different. We can see the interaction, but we cannot see the creator of the laws.
