If female vampires get pregnant, why cant they have their baby?

i've read this information off of imdb.com and down below, it gives... facts about the movie and one day when i reading it, it said that when female vampires get pregant, they can't have their baby. and so i wanted to know why this was true of why female vampires cant have their baby when their pregnant. So.. if somebody has the answer to this question, please help out. Pleae and thank you. comments are gladly appreciated. vote/comment/fav.

I can't believe I'm answering this question let alone have an answer at all.  According to the "Blade" movie Blade who is a 'day walker' half vamp half human.  was born of a mother who was bitten by a vampire.  When he came out he was hal and half.  the mother ended up being a vamp as well.  But thinking about it further the process of becoming a vampire means that you die and are awaken as a vampire.  So hence the term the 'undead' so if you are technically dead how can you really conceive? Furthermore ...I don't think a female vamp gets her period ..cause wouldn't that be counter productive since they drink blood???

i was always under the impression that female vampires could not get pregnant because their bodies are in a suspended state of non-life and that their bodies don't allow for any change. and pregnancy causes a whole lot of changes in the body and it just isn't something that is possible. but what do i know? i'm human.

Do you expect to get a serious, factual answer to your question? Vampires are fictional beings. They don't exist. Their physical characteristics depend on the imagination of the author. Any answer would have to be based on what he or she wrote.

You said you got your information from the imdb.com website, which is a movie critique site. BUT you failed to give us the named of the movie. That might have helped.

A female vampire can't get pregnant because once it has been changed to its vampire state, its body can't change anymore. So it can't have a baby.
