  1. If Christians are not mass murdering psychos, how can you explain the Christian Timothy McVeigh blowing up the Oklahoma City building, or Christian Jim Jones ordering his followers to commit suicide?

  2. 1.  They aren't popular works today!

    2.  Those are radical feminists.  They aren't representative of  the mainstream feminism of today.

Who is complaining we just aren't going to forget.

  3. Feminism is a hateful ideology..

Modern feminists celebrate and embrace man-hating radicals.

  4. Because it is controlled by women who have a strong anti male philosophy.  If a woman isn't a man hater, she would not associate herself with people who obviously are.

  5. I don't think anyone praises these women you mention. Their ideology is past-tense, meaning OVER.

I think people just like to pick on women with thoughts outside of tradition. And I don't understand why.

  6. I am a feminist and I am not a big feminist militant reader and I am not sure how many feminist are.  It is the bs that the men below spew that turn young girls into bambling idiots.  Young girls want to get men and they don't realize that the individuals on here aren't real men to begin with.

I am not sure if those works were ever popular with feminist except for the branch of feminist militants that I was not taught of because they were not great feminist.  What is modern feminism?  I guess I am a traditional feminist... Pretty stupid to have to create so many terms that mean standing up for equal rights.

Forgive and Forget; Relive and Regret.

  7. I think its fair to say that Solanas was almost a one-off (although there have been other feminist terrorists http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/wo... but Dworkin's views have become law in the US and adopted by the mainstream, even if they don't realise it.

If feminists try to argue that feminism is about equality, then there are many many examples that prove this position wrong. To argue that 'these are only extremists' is silly, as its the extremists who have always had the influence e.g. the anti-pornography laws Dworkin & McKinnon created, or the many laws made by other since then (notably on domestic violence).

  8. Feminism is not only misandric, it is also mysogynistic. In short, its all about hate, hate, hate. Feminists are ready to rip stay-at-home-moms and beauty pageant contestants to pieces because they dont fit the feminazi's agenda.

  9. They've been polluting young minds with this hatred in schools for decades now.

No wonder some of these poor girls here are the way they are.

  10. I was a women's studies minor in the late 1970's when Dworkin was suppose to be most active in the anti-pornography movement-yet she was not even mentioned in a single one of our classes. If Dworkin wasn't even discussed when she was suppose to be "well-known"- in a women's studies program at the time-I disagree that she was a "popular feminist writer" or that her works were "popular". Even though I've read a great deal of feminist non-fiction-I had never heard of Valerie Solanas until over a year and a half ago when anti-feminists posted her quotes here in the GWS forum-and like you-said that she was  a "popular feminist writer".

Are some feminists man-haters? Sure. Are some non-feminists man-haters? Sure. Do some anti-feminists hate women? Sure. These two authors you've asked about are quoted ad nauseam in this forum - if you want to believe they were popular and represent all feminists and the feminist movement - you will.

Forty years ago segregation was popular among many Christians and Americans-and I believe a few of us have moved on. Social movements always have radicals-and they serve a purpose-but usually radicals are left far behind as the movement matures and grows. Hopefully-some masculinists will move past their obsession with hating feminism and can move onto doing constructive things for men and boys.

btw: Actually some christians do praise McVeigh and other killers like him who they see fighting the "evil US government" and it's pro-choice agenda: http://www.armyofgod.com/

As for Dworkin and her short-lived crusade against pornography-that I didn't see much evidence of in the mainstream press until the 1980's - there were many feminist groups created at that same time that fought against her because they thought she was a nut. The feminist groups fighting her censorship were huge in number compared to the minority of feminists who agreed with Dworkin's methods-most of the feminists I knew of abhorred Dworkin's collaboration with right-wingers to control sexual content in the media. Anyone with half a brain knew the first content that would be suppressed would be anything to do with s*x education; female and male sexuality; and anything remotely related to g*y sexuality. Dworkin was so single minded she couldn't see that the methods she was trying to use would destroy s*x education-luckily it didn't-because the legislation she pushed was later thrown out. But she did give a boost to right-wingers who have been pushing abstinence-only education-which has been found to be useless and actually has resulted in increased teen sexual activity and pregnancy. For that matter- did she do anything about pornography? Not a thing-it is still prevalent and as violent as it ever was.

  11. These women were extremists and would be largely forgotten today if people like you would only stop bringing them up.
