  1. (f - g)(x)

    = f(x) - g(x)

    = 1/(x + 2) - 3x

    = 1/(x + 2) - [3x(x + 2)]/(x + 2)

    = (1- 3x^2 - 6x)/(x + 2)

  2. not sure but um

    (f-g)(x) = fx - gx

    so

    1/x + 2 - 3x?

not sure if still can be simplified...

  3. -3x+2+1/x
