  1. New EPA regulations on refining, refining, refining.

Diesel is not the trash it once was.

  2. One gallon of crude will make a certain percentage of motor oil, gasoline, and diesel, along with other products.  The percentage of diesel created in that gallon of crude is smaller than that of gasoline, thus needing more gallons of crude to make the same amount as gasoline.

  3. You get more bang for your buck.  More milage than gasoline!  Its not as watered down with ethanol too!

  4. global demand for the product is a factor too. It all comes down to supply and demand.

  5. because diesel last longer

  6. It costs more to produce it.

  7. Because it takes more to refine it to the quality our vehicles need.

  8. because of the additives added to stay within EPA  rules.
