  1. cuz dere r no ghosts ...well some ppl r ghosts bt nt d ones u r talkin abt...........

  2. good question maybe they levitate or maybe they don't want to ro it could be a seroius design flaw in hollywood

  3. Ghosts can walk through walls and glide down stairs because they are just energy. IN fact they can go anywhere they wish. All they have to do is think of it.

  4. Because they eat all that vanilla ice cream

  5. it all has to do with thaumic balances and the earth's magnetic field. not to mention the ghosts own will to stay above the surface actually affects its position. theres actually a whole lot of science behind the supernatural.

  6. The ghosts are behaving as though the building existed as it did in their time. That's one reason why they sometimes walk through walls - There would have been a doorway there when they were alive.

Sometimes changes in floor level make it look like they have no feet or legs, like the Roman soldiers who march through a basement in York:

In their time, that was the ground level, but now the basement floor is a few centimeres higher.  The whole town has been built up by several metres in the 2000 years since then.

  7. Because it's inconvenient for movies.

  8. If you belive in that sort of thing it's Because they choose to walk through walls and stairs. They do not choose to fall through the floor and keep on falling. Many of them are lost and confused and refuse to believe they are dead ("The Others").

  9. oh yeah, i never thought of it, its a very good question...

probably cause they dont walk, i dont know.

  10. Because they don't want to

  11. Because they don't exist.

  12. I think gravity is the key darling.

  13. They hover a few inches off the floor

  14. floors are made from thicker materials

  15. They have controll and the do come through the floor

  16. they can but gravity doesn't affect them so they only drop through the floor if they want.

  17. thats a good one. you know i never really thought of that. but i'll tell you what i think, you see ghost dont have feet, have you ever seen even seen CASPER...he just floats around all non-shalantly..

i hope that answers your question...i know it answered mine!!

  18. They can and do.

My partner remembers one that looked like an old doctor - he was only head and shoulders out of the floor.

Many reports of roman soldiers marching on roads say that they are short - or people can't see their feet. This is because it is a residual haunting, and the road level has increased over the years.

Residual haunting ghosts will repeat the same pattern of events - and do not alter their pattern. If someone does building alteration work - like bricking up doorways or moving furniture, the haunting will continue - and appear to float through walls because in their time, there was no wall.

These have actually led to the discovery of old cellars and previous openings - because if the ghost went through it - there was a door there sometime.

Another girl I knew talked of a half person sitting IN the stairs. This is because the stairs were altered in the past.

So if you removed the floor completely, the ghost would still walk about as if it was still there.  Older buildings sometimes had ladders to access upper floors for servants quarters - so you may get ghosts popping out of the floor if this is so.

  19.   because  for  what  I  was  told  ,they  don't  walk ; they  float....

  20. They are floating

  21. I dunno. Maybe they have control over what they pass through?

  22. It would be pointless for them, unless they like want to go

    down to the basement.

  23. They float in the air like a foot off the floor so they can't fall through.

    =]]

  24. because they float or its their decision if they want to go through it or not!

  25. Most floors are made of tiles. Ghosts can't go through tiles. Walls are mostly made out of wood and cement

  26. cause they don't want to

  27. Self control

  28. They have control over where they stand and what to pass through. SO they dont fall.

  29. Because if ghosts exist, they would not be subject to the laws of gravity. The same mechanism that allows them to glide through walls would keep them from falling through the floor.
