  1. Not sexist, just s**y.

  2. Lies, all lies !!

  3. i think that its emphasising on the way that boys used to play outside with wildlife and sports while girls used to do girly things like play with dolls and do their hair. i dont think its ment to be sexist just saying that boys are what they do and vice versa

  4. It goes back so many years, that sexism wasn't even acknowledged.

  5. Well, many girls have married boys and vice versa, so I guess being constructed by the derogatory throw-offs of society isn't such a bad thing.

  6. No, it was written a long time ago,  it's just about how little boys always get dirty & muddy & r interested in that sort of stuff & girls were made 2 wear dresses so didn't do tht (even if they wanted 2!)

  7. it's possible

    but dependes about their personality

  8. I suppose to some extent you could say that, but then I wrecon it just comes from immature girls in a playground(harmless teasing).. it's just the whole "girls rule, boys drule" thing. In most cases the girls grow out of it after a while as it's only a phase. so nothing to worry about.

  9. It would be sexist if it weren't so TRUE!!!! *grin*

  10. It's how little girls and little boys are socialized. You only have to look around, within the retail sector regarding toys. There is a clear distinction between what boys and girls should play with. And there is clothing, pink is the predominant colour for girls, and blue for boys. Although there are other colours you'll find pink and blue, remain dominant.

Girls are socialized to listen, be caring, the nurturing ones, yet boys are conditioned to be masculine, and dominant, and not to cry etc etc. Although some individuals dont conform to the norm, when raising children, you'll usually find most do within the wider context of Society.

Thank you dream maker, good question.

  11. have you got nothing better to do?
