If glaciers melt then what would happen to polar bears?

i know they'll die but EXACTLY from what???

i know this is stupid of me to ask but i just need to reassure myself

  2. the polar bears won't be dying off anytime soon.

    I live in Alaska, i think i should know. There are more polar bears now than there have been in the last 10 years.

  3. If glaciers melt so entirely as to cause the polar bears' habitat to disappear - I think the question should be: What will happen to us in the resulting floods, hurricanes, climate changes etc. We will become endangered :)

  4. They would die because they use the ice as a staging point, from which,to dive and hunt.  No ice, no where to dive from, then it would be much harder to hunt.  Therefore, starvation is what they die from.
