If global warming is caused by CO2 in the atmosphere why not put some effort on removing it?

If global warming is caused by CO2 in the atmosphere why don't we all work on removing CO2 rather than looking for magic new energy?

according to scientists, global warming started before CO2 levels rose.  CO2 seems to be increasing global warming, but not many scientists believe that CO2 caused global warming.  There are many organizations that are trying to remove it, as far as I know.  Scientists are now thinking that global warming is happening because the ice age that we were in is now ending.  I think that global warming happening at the end of an ice age is very logical.

Scientist have done it but it really does not make a major change. If every building, house, or home had a machine that would go into the atmosphere and try to get rid of as much C02 they could it would make a change. I hope this will some day happen.

There is some controversy as to the real causes of global warming, it is not very easy to remove a hundred years of carbon emissions from the atmosphere, and some scientists are already looking for solutions to the problem.

We are looking for "magic new energy" that doesn't release as much carbon emissions as current energy sources so we don't run into the problem of global warming again and to help protect he environment.

Because the removal is going to cost more money than you could possibly imagine and we're simply too d**n selfish and childish to cut back on our mis-use of the planet's resources.  As for magic - ain't no such animal.  Doing anything significant to combat global warming will take more than one strategy.  It'll involve cutting back on the burning of fossil fuels, increasing our wind, solar and tidal generating power sources, and developing much more efficient ways of using energy - like we did when we began replacing tungsten-filament light bulbs with the newer technology, and began doing away with cathode-ray tube television sets and computer monitors in favor of flat panel devices...those are a good start, but there's a long, long. lo-oo-ong way yet to go...

Because the real driver behind the THEORY of global warming is not to reduce C02.  The real driver is to find  way new ways to increase taxes by taking more profits from corporations.

If Al Gore really thought global warming was an issue, do you think he'd still live in a 10,000 sq. ft. house and fly around in private jets?  Obviously, he's not worried about adding additional C02 molecules into the atmosphere.  But he does profit handsomely, where tax dollars are diverted to fund his carbon credit ventures.

That is because CO2 is NOT causing global warming, global cooling, or global anything except an excuse for various governments and gov't toadies to extract even more money from the wallets of the citizens.

CO2 is an indicator, not a cause.

If it were really a cause of some catastrophic global condition, there would indeed be drastic efforts underway but as you can see, there are none; only taxes and carbon 'offsets' which do nothing to reduce CO2.  Carbon 'offsets' are the 21st century equivalent of papal dispensations.

We are; hence the need for recycling of waste which increases CO2 emissions and the need to plant trees.

For the most part removing CO2 would probalbe increase CO2.  

Sending a plane into the atmosphere to filter out the CO2 would probalble put off more carbon than the CO2 absorbed.

Whatever is done will require energy, we have to be sure it has a net effect.

Quit playing on YA!, purchase some Sofnolime CO2 scrubbing crystals, and use them in all your favorite recipes (salads, soups, BBQ, pies, salmon en crouté, hush puppies, beef wellington, etc.).   That is what I do.
