Question:

If global warming is real?

If global warming is real, then why do all the sites claiming to fight it have huge "DONATE" buttons on the main page? It seems to me that a lot of profit is being made from the scare tactics since "going green" costs money to do; and who is making that money?

  1. Because it's a scam

  2. Yes. If you don't believe me, watch or buy An inconvenient truth.

  3. Global warming is real.  Unfortunately some have figured out a way to make money off of ignorant or scared people.  Be informed.  If you are properly informed you'll see the phonies, like Al gore.

  4. Global warming is real but the cause is unkown. If you will note that Jupiter has now 3 red spots and for over 400 years had only one. Things change.

  5. You have to understand that many thousands of jobs rest on this hoax. The IPCC (intergovernmental panel on climate change) have a vested interest in keeping their lies alive so they can continue to profit on them. There is no actual credible scientific evidence that humans are causing any warming of the globe. Any warming we are experiencing is due to the fact that we are coming out of the Little Ice Age, a period of history in the 1700's marked by bitter climate conditions. The middle ages were warmer than they are today, warm enough to grow vineyards in northern England. We are in fact in one of the coldest periods of 'Earth's history exceded only by a period in which the entire planet was iced over.

Also carbon dioxide has very little to do with warming effects on the world. Water vapour is far more abundant and potent than CO2. Core samples over millions of years show that CO2 levels do not correlate with temperature levels.

So feel free to emit carbon dioxide without fear of harming the enviroment. In fact CO2 is beneficial to the enviroment. As we all know plants use CO2 to respirate and so an increase in CO2 should result in an increase in plant like. Farmers are already reporting increased yield in crops because of CO2. And more plants mean more food for herbivores which in turn means more food for carnivores.

We've all heard the stories of starvation in third world nations. It sounds like they could do with increased crop yields. Emitting CO2 into the air is like giving free fertilizer to these impoverished countries. Do all you 'greenies' out there want people to starve and biodiversity to decrease.

Don't bother falling for the slanderous accusations made against poor carbon dioxide. because you'll look like a real idiot when the world finds out it's not true.

  6. The Earth is orbiting the Sun so it is already slowly falling into the Sun. We just contribute to the Earth getting hotter, but ultimately, no.

  7. I don't think global warming is caused by human activity.  There is even doubt that the temperature is rising -- some studies have shown that the temperature is actually falling and the polar ice cap is growing.

The primary motivation behind the scare tactics is to open the door for laws to control business.  The government will be able to impose all kinds of fees and control how a company conducts its business.  It is one more step toward socialism.  That is why many leftists want to believe the global warming scam -- it fits their agenda.

  8. Al Gore's movie "An inconvenient truth" is supposed to be only shown to US schools with a proviso applied by a high court judge that 9 points of exaggeration and bad science are noted.  Unfortunately, other countries, including my adopted New Zealand, take the movie without introducing those 9 points before showing.

I don’t think the man-made global warming push was a scam to start with.  Until 1998, the climate was warming, and the trend seemed to be matched to increasing industrial emissions since the start of the industrial revolution.

However, since 1998, the global temperature has declined, against all the model predictions of the IPCC.  This is especially significant, as in the meantime, China has come on in leaps and bounds in industry.  In 2007, China built more coal-fired power stations than the UK has built in all time.  India has also increased output tremendously in that time, and most of the original Kyoto signatory countries have increased emissions, despite their signing.  Yet, in this last decade of vast increases in industrail emissions, the global temperature is now down near 1930 levels.

I believe that now it is the case that the thousands (perhaps millions world-wide) of scientists and politicians whose reputations (and grants and salaries) rest on the man-made global warming “lazy-boy”, are in a quandry, and want this cooling period to go away.

Watch this over the next few years – it is going to get interesting, and I am sure that egg is going to be strewn on lots of faces.
