Too much water causes great storms, destroying low lying areas. If the Rain Forests become incapable of producing enough Oxygen won't civilization also be destroyed ,as we know it?

  1. Actually since ice/snow is white, it reflects a lot of heat back into space.  When ice packs melt the heat will be absorbed into the ground, meaning that global warming would accelerate, not cause an ice age.

Yes if rain forests are loss we would lose some oxygen production, but you would have to destroy a huge amount of rain forest to make much of a dent in O2 production.

  2. Yes it will eventually cause an ice age but i think that will be towards the end of global warming.

  3. EXACTLY!!!!!!

global warming is very natural.it occures after every ice age. the only problem is that it should not be were it is for thousnds of years. that is our falt

warming would cause more evaporation  and also turn the deserts of the world to green forest.

plant life takes in CO2 and puts out O2

more rain would mean more O2 and less CO2

anyone that claims that global warming will create more desert better go back to school as  they need to do a course in paleohydrology

  5. the whole global warming causing a ice age this is very unlikely [1]. the main problem will be food and water shortages as farmland is lost to desert and as ecosystems collapse. [2]
