1. I think it is true what you hear... why does being blind have to mean something so negative and bad in this world? In fact, if anything, it is a blessing from seeing so much that is being done in the world that is ugly and hateful. Sure, without blindness, there are other senses that are heightened, but taking away sight, has to change someone's world. If anything, God probably has blind children, because they have a bigger purpose to accomplish, which would not be possible if they were "normal" with having two eyes to view the world. Now they have one big heart to feel the world, then translate it into their own views.

    Thanks for reading!

  2. So they can learn (and serve as a witness to others) not to rely solely on the physical eyes. That there are things in this kosmos that are forever unseeable.

  3. Christians don't use common sense, get that in your mind and you will do fine for the rest of your life.

  4. And why does bad things happen to good people all the time? When the tectonic plates crash into each other causing human calamity, they don't worry about Karma, good and bad, evil and riteousness. Life's paths are made up of randon circumstances, some predictable and some not. Most religious people will state that god has a 'bigger' plan for them and humans in general, that we can't know the 'big picture.' Most say there can't be good unless we know or experience the depths of evil.

Is it fair to have predation, disease, deformities, child rape, parasites and evil in the world? If the answer is yes, then with god(s) like that, who need them?

  5. I cannot truely answer this question for if I was a monotheist all I can say is "He wanted them to be." And if I was an atheist all I can say is "Because he does not exist."

But I will not choose sides, I am indifferent towards religion and atheism.

  6. Reality is seeing through the senses, it is not only the eyes what see, those people are not blind they simply lack one of the senses. Your nose can see smell. Your skin can see physical pain and pleasure can your eyes see the smell of a rose? I am blind in one eye and i dont pretend to know how those who are completely blind feel. I do however know how i feel. I know that i can never see through that eye again, I know i will never have depth perception, i can never watch a 3D movie as others can. There is something missing, however i also know that no one but I and others like me can experience the world as i do. No one can know my experience. They cannot see the world flat as i do without depth. Why are people born blind because it is as their life should be, if it were not then how would you explain it happening. People are born blind for the same reason a tree has to stay rooted in some soil or water to stay alive, it has no choice in the matter.

  7. Because it will serve a purpose in the greater scheme of things. Don't look on disability as a bad thing, it means your usually get better at other things (like hearing, feeling, tasting), people (in this time period at least) treat you better, and its a motivator to do great things. Plus, everything bad that happens to us in this life, is just a drop in the bucket compare to the eternity of bliss awaiting us in heaven.
