  1. Disadvantage= Hard to form,

    Advantage= Attractive and shiny

  2. And where would you park it?  Want to see how fast it gets stripped?

People would run off with your fenders.

"Gold is cheap" is a relative expression.  Current prices are about $826.70US / troy ounce.

    Gold-bug

  3. All the answers given above stand a chance.

But the most important thing is its security.

A car of Gold is attractive to thiefs and illegal market, but it is hard to hide also.

  4. But Gold is not cheap. Current price is US$853.90 per OUNCE.

  5. Not only would it be too heavy, gold is a soft metal and it would not be strong enough to support the weight of the engine or hold up in an accident.

  6. the weight my god! it would be too heavy to drive...but wouldnt rust

  7. it would be too heavy

  8. Gold is extremely "malleable".  That means it is easy to work into shape with even a small hammer -- even wooden hammers.

Therefore, a pure gold car would be extremely susceptible to small dings, like gravel dropped from a truck in front of you, the neighbor kid's baseball, or even a very slight hail storm.

And to add to the others -- gold is VERY heavy.  The gas mileage would be terrible.

I see NO advantages what so ever.

  9. advantage - one who has it will have the honour of having the geatest amount of ornamentation . more over he/she will have ones name in the genies book of worl record.

disadvantage :- u will have to spend a lot in servising of the parts , insurence will be heavy, and last but not the least he/ she will always be in a state of truble while parking in area , even in the safest zone of the world.

  10. DISADVANTAGES . the car would be very heavy. gold can be melted easily than silver and bronze. that is why our jewelries are made up of gold because it is very easy to melt and mold. so, if gold is used in making cars, then the shape of the car will be deformed so easily and you're going to have a hard time just molding your car(lol). ADVANTAGES. the gold will help your car to be more presentable. hehehe. That's all. 10 points? it's up to you

  11. Gold is too heavy and too malleable to be used in cars. If you tried to make the chassis out of gold it would bend and buckle easily under any kind of load. Even if you had a steel chassis and just made the body panels out of gold, it would still be pretty heavy, and easy to dent (just lean on a panel and it would buckle). About the only advantage is gold's lack of reactivity - it wouldn't corrode.
