If hair that's straight is washed with a shampoo especially for curly / wavy hair will it damage it?

I accidentaly got the wrong shampoo and conditioner & and now I'm wondering if it will make my hair wavy or anything (not that I want it) but my hair is straight. will it have any effects on it. or does it not matter?

shampoo really has no effect on hairstyles. if your hair is naturally straight, then it will still be straight. dont worry. i have made the same mistake.

nah ot wont do anything to it. Its just not made for your hair...i would suggest going back and exchanging the shampoo for one made for your hair, because this will do nothing for it.

Definitely not. Curly Shampoo is designed to enhance already wavy hair to make it bouncy and make their curls stronger and bolder than if washed with regular shampoo which makes the curls limp. Nothing will happen to your hair unless you have waves in your hair. And unless it has a seal on it, you can return shampooes if they are not good, same with makeup.

No, it's fine. The "curly hair" shampoos usually just have more moisturizing and defrizzing properties than the ones for straight hair. These are the biggest problems for ladies with curly hair.

If you hair is really fine and straight it might weight it down more than say a volumizing shampoo, but I can't imagine it being a huge problem. And, if your hair is processed or heat-styled often, it might actually be a good thing.
