Question:

If herb seeds dont grow,does that mean they died?

i planted several different seed spaced them and good soil was added even plant food. why wont they grow? maybe i buried them to deep?

  1. How long has it been since you planted ? Make sure you dont overwater !


  2. they lost there vitality. some seeds can last for years while others don't, I suppose yes they did die

  3. it could be any number of factors; the seeds were defective.. not enough sunlight/water... it is possible that they were planted too deep if they were more than 2 centimeters (just under 1 inch) under the top level.

    what you could do is place the seeds on some damp (not soaking wet) cotton wool and place in a sunny spot (such as a kitchen window sill?)until they germinate.make sure to keep the cotton moist. when the leaves are about an inch or 2 in height and there are definite roots, then carefully plant them into a plant pot but only about half an inch deep in the soil. water them using a mist spray bottle.
