If hillary uses negative/attack ads in her campaign, will the public accept a "harsh tone" from a woman?

woman aren't expected to be harsh or strong willed in our society.

will this help her or hurt her?

In my opinion I think it would be great to have a woman president, however I do not believe Hillary Clinton would be a good president. She's pretty harsh, and I think that will hurt her. Not that she should be soft, because that would show weakness. But I do believe it will hurt her, because she is a little too harsh.

Why go negative?  Why doesn't she just tell everyone where she stands on whatever subject she is asked about?  If her qualifications are at least in part due to her involvement in her husbands administration, why not expedite the release of any and all records related to that involvement?  

No one who has to offer what America is seeking in a leader, needs to resort to negative ads.  She has a very shrill and annoying voice when she shouts so she should avoid doing that.  

Personally, I do not believe that she has any chance of winning the presidency unless there is a Ross Perot style spoiler in the race pulling support from the Republican.  Her negatives are just too high.  Remember, 50% of America is on record as saying they would not vote for Hillary no matter what.  Of the 50% who are left, certainly, not all of them will vote for her.  That leaves her a relatively small pool of possible votes,  less than 50%.  

Bill Clinton, who was certainly more well liked than Hillary, never got over 46% of the vote in either election.  Ross Perot handed those victories to him.  Hillary needs at least a Ross Perot type third party candidate.

She'll want it both ways like usual - we've already seen a preview of what type of reaction to expect from her if she's challenged, even with legitimate criticism i.e., they're mean and ganging up on me...

As for herself, she'll have to prepare attack ads because that's the nature of the beast these days - attack ads work. However, she'll think of some slick way of saying that those are my ads but not really my ads so her hands don't get dirty.

I think it will hurt her. But then again when ever I see a politician resort to attacks they fall a few pegs on my ladder.
