  1. Hi again Tommy,

When you're looking at any of the top of the line risers, both of Hoyt's risers are top of the line, they no longer make beginner risers.  These risers are sold by themselves, the same is true for any other top end risers from other manufacturers(Bernardini, Spigarelli, Win&Win, Samick etc.).  Only beginner/entry level risers are sometimes sold with limbs.  This is because the manufacturer assumes that archers buying these risers would like the freedom to choose what limbs they want.  Some people, and this is what I always advice people new to the sport, buy top of the line riser and then start off with a pair of cheap limbs.  Reason for this is, to start with Olympic style archery, you need very light limbs to get used to the form.  Then you want to slowly increase the limb poundage, so you'll be going through quite a number of limbs.  I've gone through 5 limbs while making my climb from beginner weight to my competition weight.  So you want your first 3-4 limbs to be cheapo ones, then when you've reached your target weight you can go ahead and buy the top end limbs.
