  1. Humans and modern apes evolved from more primitive apes.  Each evolved to fill a unique ecological niche.  Monkeys and apes split much earlier in the evolutionary process, and there are still ecological niches monkeys occupy.

  2. It has been stated here several times already. But to be sure the point sinks in, humans did not evolve from apes. Humans and primates share a common ancestor that pre-dates both. Humans and most primates share an overwhelming number of genes.

  3. We didn't evolve from apes. We share a common ancestor.

  4. We didn't evolve from apes. Go do some research before you ask questions like this.

  5. When children are born, do parents die. NO.  We changed one way, they changed another way.

  6. This a good question. Because we didn't evolve from apes. We were created.

  7. People did not evolve from apes.  Humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor 5-7 million years ago.

Contemporary apes do not "evolve into people" because they are already well-suited to their environment and therefore have no reason to evolve.  Sort of like creationists who choose to get their so-called science education at church.

  8. these are questions that scientists are trying to find out. they do think we cam e from from of monkey, ape etc. now its finding out. we could have just evolved and they didnt' change we have found that in some of the others we have found. we're not sure and not sure what makes us human and them not. we have soul and they apparently don't but someday there will be answers to all this.

  9. Humans did not evolve from present-day apes. Rather, humans and apes share a common ancestor that gave rise to both. This common ancestor, although not identical to modern apes, was almost certainly more apelike than humanlike in appearance and behavior. At some point -- scientists estimate that between 5 and 8 million years ago -- this species diverged into two distinct lineages, one of which were the hominids, or humanlike species, and the other ultimately evolved into the African great ape species living today.

  10. it's unfortunate for them that they didn get a chance at evolution...

  11. well then obviously we where made by god

  12. your question contains the answer-- humankind evolved from apes.  noone ever said apes turned into men.

  13. Birds - you see plenty of them and in variety!

Cows & Bulls, Insects, flies, lizards, fish, and others in thousands of life forms - we see them in a great variety in each of the category! It's also there in the plants and trees - thousands of them!

So, the apes, gorillas, chimpenzees, orang gutans, monkeys and baboons etc are of variety of evolutionary evolvement of specific life forms as species having great similarities but, they are each of them are different like the categories as we see in other life forms!

The unique thing for humans to get evolved from a particular species of ape like creature has not been fully understood in its entirety, since we have the limitations on mapping the anatomy only by the fossil remains of humans, of hundreds of thousands of years old!

The research has gone too deep into the genetics and with help of bio informatics associated with extreme computational analysis have brought the best of primitive humans into a structured format to conclude decisively confirming the fact that, the unbelievably powerful and everlasting natural evolution has indeed played the great role in shaping the ape like creature into the modern man of today!

The concept of evolution which is a greatest time lasting phenomena of biological change in species associated with thousands of factors including the nature and the climate, food and its chemistry, blood group and genetics etc cannot be easily understood even by graduates in science unless they study strongly with interest to learn it in depth!

  14. b/c man did not come from monkeys, some of them act like monkeys. The bible can tell you how we are maded..

  15. This is a great question. I think perhaps that if we did evolve from apes it was only a matter of time before people realized that they could reproduce without evolution. I suppose that still leaves the option to evolve, but I really don't know why it did not happen. Haha.

  16. Humans, modern apes, chimpanzees and the rest of the primates came from a common ancestor but each species is a branch growing from a trunk.  Just because there is one branch doesn't mean the other branches die off.

Just like penguins exists at the same time sparrows exist.  They are two related species that had one common ancestor.

  17. Only monkeys were made in the image of God. And may be gorillas. Human evolved.

  18. If God made Adam from dirt, why is there still dirt?

Actually, nobody believes man evolved from apes.  Evolution suggests that man and apes have a common ancestor.
