  1. I don't think there would be one. I think it would just be wild kingdom all over. Carnivores like lions and wolves would be at the top of the food chain, but I don't think they would really dominate.

  2. Some other hominid would have taken our place but wouldn't likely be as dominant.

  3. Insects

  4. dolphins, horses, dogs, chimps, sharks, raccoons,

  5. I don't believe there would be a dominant species, seeing as how each species of animal has it's own niche. No living creature, not even humans, can dominate the world.

There are natural barriers, example: people cannot live under water, in outer space, in extremely high altitudes, inside of volcanoes.

Humans can be creative, make great progressive strides, or be very destructive. But an act of God can just as easily strike, like a monsoon, hurricane, flood, volcanic eruption etc., and level out everything and people have to start all over again .

  6. If humans did not exsist, then I believe the domanant species would be either pigs or apes.

  7. I don't think anything else would have spread as far on the earth. as we have.  In certain areas each top predator would be different.

Maybe the saber tooth tiger would still be around, or maybe the Tiger would be the dominant species in India, and the lion in Africa....

  8. IMO, we are only the dominant species on earth in our own minds.

Extremophile varieties of bacteria are far more evolutionarily successful and have been around for billions of years longer.

  9. Grizzly Bears.

  10. I think there wouldn't be no dominant specie on earth if human didn't exist.

Or may be some species might become dominant and evolve to become human like specie.

  11. Humans aren't the dominant species.

"Insects are the dominant life form on earth. Millions may exist in a single acre of land. About one million species have been described, and there may be as many as ten times that number yet to be identified. Of all creatures on earth, insects are the main consumers of plants. They also play a major role in the breakdown of plant and animal material and constitute a major food source for many other animals."

"The sheer size of insect populations is always amazing. A small chunk of rotting saguaro (about 1 cubic foot, or 2300 cm3) was examined at the University of Arizona; it yielded 413 individual arthropods, including adult and larval beetles, larval flies, pseudoscorpions, and mites. Compare that small portion to the size of a whole saguaro and you instantly understand why insects are this planet’s dominant life form. "

"There are 750,000 known species of insects, more than all of the remaining animal kingdom. Insects account for three quarters of life on the planet."

Better question: If insects didn't exist....  <G>

  12. I agree with earwax of satan. Millions of different kind of bacteria and virus strains can wipe out just about any other life form on this planet. They are the dominant ones in terms of reproduction/survival/natural selection.

  13. Ducks... don't you remember Howardt he Duck?!!

  14. Doesn't matter if humans exist or not or if we think we are the dominant life, fact is that bacteria are the true dominant life on earth...

...that is unless we count virus then all bets are off, virus wins ever time.

  15. Clearly it would be bears. Why do you think Steven Colbert fears them so much?

  16. Apes.

  17. I would argue that ants are the dominant species.

  18. Most likely All Animal and Plant life on this Earth. Mostly Mammals

  19. Moose. Definitely Moose.

  23. apes

  24. BUGS

  25. idk, prolly dogs

  26. parrots, apes, dolphins, octopuses, elephants or mudkips

  27. None.

If we didn't exist, there wouldn't be ONE dominant species all over the Earth.

  28. Apes, Lions, or Tigers.

  29. I think .Bats would take over the world.
