If humans know that killing other people is wrong then why do they continue to kill other people?

  1. people who kill other humans are not human.


  2. Sadly, humans kill other humans and all other creatures on this planet for sport, fun, profit and material gain, distorted sense of honor and out of pure ego.

    If you kill a few, you find yourself a murderer.

    If you kill thousands and your political view prevailed, you are a hero.

    If your view did not prevail you are a historic figure of interest, at least and might still aspire to "legendary" status.

    Despite the supposed revelations of the many and various "god(s)", for whom humans are all too willing to defend their caves in honor of, humans seek power and glory so as to rival the gods they have made.

    However, there is always hope for a great awakening demonstrated by mindful awareness, compassion, caring, generosity and loving kindness.

    Be well, be wise and remember to live as an example of your beliefs.

Despite knowing that killing is wrong, people still kill others either for money or other selfish reasons or even for some ideology, because they believe that they can get away with it, that they will not get caught or punished for it. Believe me, if they knew for sure that they can not get away with it, 99% of them would not be willing to kill others. In my view, these people are foolish cowards who do wrong because they think they can get away with it, but justify as though they are doing some great service to some ideology or nation; yes, it is foolish as well as cowardly.

    There's many reasons; For rights, freedom, equality, because they're ill, because we think we must, and form some people, for fun.

    Who's to say if it is right or wrong, maybe it's just a new form of natural selection brought on the uprising of technology.

  10. There are times when people are not in their right minds like when they're drunk or they had drugs, they have the tendency to kill and not realizing it.

    Also, some people HAVE to kill for self defense.

    Others are just crazy and have the urge to kill.

    First off, the notion or fact that something is "wrong" does not prevent the event from happening ... a simple example that most of can relate to is speeding in an automobile.  We know it's wrong (if in fact you agree that posted speed limits [law] are to be honored) but that, in itself, does not stop us from speeding ... then consider those who drink and drive ... wrong?  Absolutely ... but that's not enough to stop the behavior.

    Tobacco companies and governments know that cigarettes kill people -far more than any drug wars or ethnic cleansing ... yet, with a wink and a nod, this "business enterprise" continues to market its deadly product ... wrong?  Absolutely ... but not so wrong as to stop it.

    Mankind has been killing off each other from the onset ... the hard-wired propensity for both survival and aggression has created the greatest paradox among all the species -especially when it's viewed against the fact that mankind has an intellect and is "supposed" to be able to discern between right and wrong.  Instead, that very intellect is used to justify the killing of others ... be it greed, jealously, vengeance, or a host of other justifications, the "wrong" does not exceed either the inherent urge -or the consequences.

    But killing the person for self-defence is correct.

When you are on a diet, you know you should not be eating chocolates, does that make the craving any lesser? Even if people think it's wrong to kill, there are other emotions battling inside them such as hatred, jelaousy etc which makes them do it.

  18. They are compelled to do killing by leaders who convince them that there are threats to their security by the so-called enemy and it becomes condoned as an act of self-preservation.
