If hurricanes go over dead zones where there is no oxygen, does it help or hurt them?

if hurricanes go over dead zones where there is no oxygen, does it help or hurt them? also.. diffrent subject..idk what the slope of the land was where the 2004 tsunamis hit was going from their continental slope but did it help or hurt them more?

  1. Since there are no dead zones where there is no oxygen, hurricanes cannot pass over them.

    The slope of the continental shelf is what makes it possible for tsunamis to reach the heights they do.The areas hardest hit by the 2004 tsunami mostly had gently sloping beaches, which allowed it to reach the 50 ft. height and go so far inland.


  2. Tropical systems need warm water and abundant moisture to survive and stay strong.  Without oxygen, you don't have water.  Your question would be meaningless.

  3. Hurricanes are weakened by movement over land and/or cold waters. Moving into an area with zero presence of oxygen doesn't really have an effect on them. Hurricanes need a lot of heat and moisture above all else to survive.
