  1. No, contacts don't change your vision, regardless of how long you wear them.  Contacts work the same way as glasses, they correct your vision for as long as you are wearing them.

If you are asking whether your prescription will be less effective if you wear the contacts longer than recommended I would have to say yes.  Your vision will be slightly less clear if you wear the contacts for longer than their shelf life.

  2. Yes....wearing a lens longer than recommended deprives the eye of oxygen.  The cornea will begin to swell slightly and grow blood vessels where none should be.  The prescription worsens gradually, known as myopic creep, as a result.  In the worse case scenario, you grow blood vessels across your cornea so that's all you see, you compromise the corneal integrity, get ulcers and scars so that lose vision.  In short, it is best to wear the lenses as directed....generally 2 weeks for these lenses.

  3. No, it would not. Are they a new prescription? In any case, eye doctor's almost always schedule an eye exam every so often to check up on your eyesight so they can see if they need to change your prescription or if the contacts are harming you more than helping you. You should always follow the directions for wear that are on the box, and listen carefully to the instructions given by your optomitrist. Do not sleep in your contacts, and try to avoid touching your eye at all costs. Change your contacts as often as your eye doctor says. Contacts don't usually change your vision, but if it does, you will probably be forced to wear glasses. Hope that helps!

  4. No they shouldn't change your vision.  I use a similiar astigmastism disposable contact.  The bigger question though, is will you have any ill effects for going over 2 weeks.   I posed the similiar question to my optimistrist, I was told...it is ok to wear them until they feel uncomfortable.    Never had any issues with a protein build up, and my yearly check ups are fine.  However, I don't recommnd doing so the same, since your eyes my be different.  What I suggest is calling your optomitrist, and posing the same question.

  5. Well, it would help you see when you wore them. I don't think that it would correct the problem. As far as I know, laser surgery is the only way to do that.

  6. Yes, it is possible for your vision to change.  it's unsafe to use it longer than recommended.  You risk eye infection and possibly go blind.

  7. Contacts don't change your eyes. Contacts are basically the squishy, wet equivalent to the lenses on a pair of glasses and are meant for people who don't want to wear glasses on your face.

Your eyes may adjust to the lenses, but that will make your vision worse when your not wearing the lenses, not better...
