  1. wow.. sassy snowboards works in rental?!?! it has nothing to do with height.. only weight. a snowboard cannot see how tall you are, but it can feel your weight, figuratively speaking. a 156 should be good with freeride, but not park and terrain that requires agile movement.

  2. I'm 5' 10" and I ride a 156, I'd say I fall in the "advanced/expert" category of boarding. I mainly ride downhill and powder, occasionally going in the park. A 156 would be suitable for powder days......but might be a little too long for your height for regular packed powder/hard packed days.

  3. YOU ARE GETTING DIFFERENT ANSWERS because everyone is guessing. If you use a snowboard size calculator for Female, 5'6", 130lb, Freeride, Intermediate it says 150cm - that is just a rough estimate.

Now some boards are made to be used a little longer for the same weight rider, but you would have to check the board's manufacturer web site for the weight range for that 156.

Also, some people just prefer a longer board - most prefer a shorter board than recommended. That board would be good for riding in powder which requires a longer board and more setback.

    Good Luck

  4. It would probably be fun on groomed runs, big carves, also in the pow as the previous poster stated. Not so fun in steep trees or moguls, as you wouldn't be able to turn as fast or as easy as you would on a shorter stick.

  5. Well, on Ride's snowboard finder thing, it recommended 151-154. I wouldnt say its too big but it might be a little big for you.
