  1. I didn't know you had to do drivers ed courses to get your license as long as you are 18 or are 16 and have had your permit for 7+ months. I think it should be okay?

  2. I live in IL... but all I had to do was call the local public high school and tell them that I was homeschooled and needed to take driver's ed.  They let me come just for that class, and I only had to pay the regular $20 fee that all the other students paid for the class.

I also have friends who were homeschooled and got their licenses either by taking lessons from a private driving school or letting their parents teach them (although I think there were some additional rules for the kids who were just taught by their parents).

But of course you can get your license... it's not like they're going to say, "No, you're homeschooled, you can never learn to drive."

  3. if you live in florida, are 16, have had a learners permit for 365 days, and can pass the test at the dmv then yes. im homeschooled and will get mine thursday. you just need to have some type of drivers ed course for the insurance discount. your parents can teach you and that will count.  good luck.
