If i already have a passport but can not find it (its expired) how do I go about getting a new one? The kicker

I also do not know where my birth cert. is i'm going on a cruise to Mexico very last min... I olny have about 3 hours to take care of this matter..... I live in South florida area Hollywood fl, to be exact help please.....

since january 2008 all people traveling out of the country need a passport, if expired you need to get a new one anyways the process takes about 3 months, sorry, seems you are staying here, you are going to have to get your birth certificate records from the recorders office in the town were you were born, have some relative gettem for you  if that's too far away.

You go to your passport agency with your photo id and ticket to Mexico. And pray to god that they give it to you in time.

you will need to apply for a new passport which requires a birth certificate. so you need to order a replacement birth certificate before you can apply for a new passport.

if you can, take a last minute cruise to puerto rico instead since a passport is not required to go there yet.

fyi... if your passport expires less than six months BEFORE your return date to your home country, it will be considered invalid. if you don't believe it, check the requirement on airline and cruiseline websites.
