  1. If you are under the age of 21, you must have someone 25 or older sharing your cabin. That person must be a parent or guardian.

You will not be able to cruise with the boyfriend.

  2. if you are under 18 you have to be accompanied by a parent

  3. First off being 17 you are almost an adult and I can't possibly imagine a cruise company denying you anything other than alcohol (21) or tobacco (18) however I can imagine some fascist would try and interfere.  Those bloodsucking companies don't really care about the individual cruiser and they want to cover their hides in any way possible so they might pull a fast one in some way.  If you two can try and convince them you are brother/sister or cousins and you just experienced a death/life-altering moment, etc.  maybe they'll believe it and not care.  Plus most cruise-ship companies have kid/teen programs to segregate them from the rest of the cruisers for good reason but the fact is teens can carry themselves and want to have fun like everyone else and the cruise company has no business being uptight about what they do on board.

my sister and her spouse with her kids go on cruises very often and they have experienced no problems with their cruises.

one suggestion is to research cruise ship companies and what they offer on the ships and iteraries to place(s) you want to go.  if its a smaller cruise line most likely they wont have a kid/teen program if it doesn't thats a good place to start.

    Have a good cruise!  :)

  4. I don't think so. Parents could always sue the cruise line for anything that happens to their minor child on board.. Companies are very conscious of potential litigation.

But why don't you call the cruise line and ask?

  5. In addition to what others have said check where the vessel is registered. In International waters you will be subject to their laws, which may well be different.

Whether or not you need parental consent depends on your nationality, you don't say this, if your not US citizen you may not need this.

  6. You can with parental permission. But I am not real sure why a 23-year-old man would want to date a high-school kid to begin with...

  7. No. You have to be accompained by an adult if your under the age of 18.

  8. You must get a notary public to sign a statement from your parents that they approve your travel with a boyfriend since you are a minor.

If you do not have this statement, you do not travel.  This cruise line could have all kinds of liability issues and they will not risk it.
