  1. No, your passport must be current in order to cross the border at Canada.

  2. lol no.

  3. no

  4. nope, got to get it updated

  5. Umm... obviously not?

  6. ~NO~ make sure you renew it before you go to Canada. It takes approx. 6-8 weeks to get it so make sure you make plans ahead of time. They also have an express service you might want to look into.

  7. Absolutely not. Expired means no good, not usable.

  8. of course not!

u cant go anywhere with an expired passport!

  9. If u know what an expired thing means i am afraid u cant.

  10. No it is invalid

if flying to Canada you need a valid passport,

if driving you need government issued photo ID and proof of residency like a birth certificate

after June 2009 you need a valid passport for all entry to Canada and the US

  11. The answers above are correct if you are flying to Canada.  The requirements for driving to Canada are different.  If you are driving to Canada, you only need to be able to prove you're a US citizen.  A driver's license, by itself, won't do this.  The best way is to take your birth certificate.  The rules for this are going to be changing soon, and once they do, you will have to have a passport no matter how you try to enter the country.

Also, even though you can enter without a passport, I have heard stories of people being given a hard time by border patrol if they don't have a passport.

  12. Yes as long as you are driving or walking you only need a driver's license and your birth certificate.

If you are flying you need a current passport.

  13. Not anymore, U.S. - Canada travel now states you MUST have a passport.... a VAILD passport.
