  1. yes, i think you should include some indication that you are prepared to move locations.

i used to include something that indicated i was flexible in my work location and i look forward to moving to another town so i can experience more of the country.

by doing that you indicate you are aware they are in another location and you are willing to move.  more on this will come out in your interview anyway, but it's helps get you past the initial culling.

    all the best.

  2. Yes definitely or better still put this in your CV somewhere near the top (perhaps insert a "personal statement" that covers this if you don't have one already).

Employers will often receive many applications for each job so they only have a short amount of time to make a decision about which candidates to shortlist - if it looks you live too far away the employer may assume you haven't read their job ad correctly and reject your application.

This topic was recently debated here http://www.allworthingjobs.com/interview... with some interesting comments.

In any event good luck with your job hunting (and re-locating)!

  3. Try...."ln the event of being successful in my application, I am prepared to relocate  within a suitable commuting location, nearer to the business." Hope it helps..

  4. My friend is applying for jobs in another state. She sums up her cover letter with a sentence or 2 about the fact that she is looking forward to relocating to this state and that she will be able to begin the position in a reasonable amount of time. She has been asked to several interviews and they have not been bothered by her being from out of the state. One did mention that they do not pay relocation costs and she told them that was fine with her.
