Question:

If i am going to buy a laptop at best buy can i pay for an extended warranty?

The laptop comes with a year warranty already but do you think i can pay extra money for a longer warranty.has anyone done this before at best buy?

  1. yes you can. thats where i purchased my laptop from, they should have the information on the website.


  2. Yes you can and Yes I have.  They have a product replacement plan.  I prefer to pay for this plan because if it breaks I just take it back to the store instead of shipping it away.   I do believe their website explains the plan in detail.  


  3. If you are buying a laptop there is only one kind of plan you can purchase and that is the performance service plan or psp. I believe they offer a choice for how long you want (like 2-4 years) but you cannot buy a product replacement plan or prp for a laptop. They will not sell a replacement plan for anything that is priced over a certain amount. All laptops are over the limit they allow for a prp. If you have an officemax in your area you can buy the plan from them as well. the only difference is officemax offers accidental damage and handling and best buy does not. It is the same company that sells them, though.
