If i am just hooking up a sub, is all i need a mono amp?

Question

i want to hook up a sub, but i don't really need to hook up my speakers to an amp. if i were hooking up speakers too, i would probably get a 4 channel amp right?

but since i am just hooking up a sub to the amp, all i would need is a 1 channel amp right?

future shop has an exile bundle, with the exile s500.1 mono amp, and the exile xt10 10" sub. are those components any good too?

1 channels are the bomb, they have one job and cant go wrong,,,a 4 channel can be used and briged for the sub s,,,,,, personally  i never heard of exile BUT if  they made it and it works,,, go for it  JUST make sure its wired right and set to the specs. of the sub to avoid any problems  hey we will be  right here,,,

u can use either a 1 or 2 channel amp for your sub(s)
