If i am only 17 can i unenroll myself from high school?

i was being homeschooled basically i worked and she graded whenever but i droped out and am trying to get my ged but i have to be unenrolled and my mom refuses i am trying to go to college and shes holding me back but she wont let me be emancipated....plz help =/

  1. wait...so your mom isn't letting you go to college... because she's not going to homeschool you so you can't get your GED? i'm a bit confused. why would you want to unenroll? then you can't go to college.

    maybe you should try reasoning with your mom and see why she doesn't want you to graduate. if she's any type of mother she should know what she's doing.

The age when dropping out without parental consent is different in each state.  Check your own state's laws and see if you can do that at 17 or not.  If you can, then go sign up for adult-ed and get that GED!  If not, then buckle down and do your homeschooling so your mom can graduate you - or you turn 18, whichever comes first.
