  1. You should continue seeing your IVF specialist until told otherwise.  The normal time-frame is 12-13 weeks as the 1st trimester is normally when complication arise and possible miscarriages happen.  Do not being seeing an OB/GYN until told to do so by your IVF Dr.  That may be a huge mistake on your part.

  2. You need to continue with your specialist until 12 weeks. Most ob/gyns wont even see you until week 10! So, if you want progesterone monitoring/support and early testing or ultrasounds, you need to stay with them. They are specialized in making sure you make it through your first trimester. OBs are not.

The pregnancy is not necessarily normal until you are in your second trimester. 5 weeks is still very early.

  3. Congratulations, thats great news.

I would keep going to your IVF specialist until told otherwise.  They know your history and can advise if you require progesterone support etc.

    Best of luck

  4. You should be able to set up with a regular Ob/Gyn because at 5th week any OB can run tests for your levels, it would be fine, and save some $$ probably. Good luck.
