If i am spraying kilz primer on raw dry wall do i need to back roll ?

  1. You primer drywall with drywall primer you can buy it in a 5gallon bucket & they recommend to roll it on since it is alot thicker than normall primer.


  2. Are you doing this with cans? or an airless, using a siphon method?

       I can't imagine using spray cans to do any large area?

       The rationale to back roll, might only be that you apply too much in a concentrated area. Certainly without knowing at all, the reasons,,, the can will clearly state instructions. Beyond that a roller nap, especially a dry one, will actually pull paint off the surface, at least until the nap is soaked. Why not just get Kilz in gallons and roll it on?

    Just my two "sense"
