  1. Best information you will get from the official site of the Federal Foreign Office:

    http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/diplo/en/...

    I found there:

"Can I have my visa extended in Germany?

It is only possible to extend the validity of visas in certain exceptional cases. This can only be done by the foreigners authority in Germany covering the place of residence of the visa holder. This is the only authority that can decide on an extension of a visa during a visit to Germany. Neither the Federal Foreign Office nor its missions abroad can do so."

  2. Hi,

the maximum period you can extend is for 90days.  But it depends on the person extending your visa and the impression you make on them. They could give you anything between 30 to 90 day, or they could even deny your extension.

They would probably ask you why you want to stay more than 90 days in Germany as a tourist or if you have some other things in mind (studyiing, working) which would be illegal with a tourist visa.

  3. you will be able to get 5 months depending on your past
