.......the family of the managing direcor of a plastic manufacturer....or the family of a prominent politician?

every day i travel on the train and its like taking a continous journey thru one long rubbish tip.

i hate to think what foreign visitors to my area think of the squalid dump britain has become.

how can the train companies get away with the trackside being in such a condition....and how can householders adjacent to the track where dumping is the worst get away with not being prosected?

  1. Why dont you report it to the Railway Route controls.

Unfortantly you cannot stop people from dumping rubbish, as there are Thousand of miles of railway embankments, but if its reported, the railways can then monitor the situation & set up CCTV in the hot spots and hopefully catch the guys & gals who dump their rubbish.

Any way here is the list of who to contact:

    Birmingham 0121 345 6650

    Cardiff 02920 394 157

  2. I wouldn't worry about these things.  You will have unnecessary sleepless nights.  The problem is with our system of capitalism.  We have to be better than all other systems available on this planet even if this means some lives could be lost.

Have you thought of the amount of compensation th families of victims will get?  The will get more than what they would had if the person was still alive, working and bringing home cash!!  Now they will be millionaires and so one death is bearable!!

  3. Thanks for the warning. Guess I'll make that vacation a river trip in Ireland.

Incidentally, 'Desperate' must be a victim of crossed-wires, answering a totally different question.  I did that once and Yahoo wouldn't let me back after I deleted my answer.

  4. Network Rail faces a never-ending task in clearing debris from the lineside. It's not the fault of the train companies, it's the mentality of the great British public who think it's acceptable to dump their rubbish where they please.

It is very difficult to prosecute offenders as unless they are caught in the act, or they have dumped something from which they can be indentified, there is insufficient evidence to bring the offenders to court.
