So, say i become an oral surgeon. Oral surgeons can setup their own "small" practice, but is there anyway i can make my practice bigger? Almost make it into a company?

I like business and medicine, and i cant chose between the two, so i want to combine them. And i wouldnt want just one small business, i would want to make it bigger.

  1. Careful there.

Medical Ethics and Business are not easy bedfellows.

    There's a whole field of 'Administrative Medicine`,

created by the insurance mess that you could enter.

  2. Anyone can set up a business.

  3. It would be difficult to do BOTH.  You'll either be a good doctor and poor businessman, or good business man and poor doctor.

Have you thought about specializing in the business of medicine, and run/operating clincs and/or hospitals?  Frankly, this seems more do-able, and in a much shorter time.  No 8 years of medical school!
