the customs will not charge on used articles. so take care to see that any completely unused article is not brought to india. purchase some time earlier so that u may make some use before your journey to india.

no customs duty for items imported as your personal baggage along with u when u travel. but the limit is rs 25,000/- any item costing more than that will attract customs duties
