If i buy a US cordless home phone will it work normally in Europe's networks?

i am mostly interested in finding out whether it will be able to transmit to the cordless device. the base is going to work as it will be connected to the land line, yeah? i am asking because i ve had issues with US devices in the past.

  1. Im pretty sure you would need a phone re-wiring to the specific countries phone network. European countries each differ.


  2. Yes, the cordless phone will work, however, remember that the power may be different, and most of Europe is on a 50 cycle A.C. power. You must have the proper power adapter.! (The US is on a 110Volt 60 cycle power.)

  3. If you are interested with the link between the base and handset? Perfectly yes.

    However, you may violate the allocated frequency band in Europe. Modern European cordless used DECT platform. USA is WDCT and DECT 6.0. However, USA is still using 2.4G, 5.8G Analog.
