If i buy a mobile on contract on o2 can i keep my old pay as you go o2 number?

i want to keep my old number as EVERYONE has it but its on pay as you go so can i transfer it to my new mobile that will be on contract?

its the same provider=02

  1. Yes you can keep any number, they will require a PAC code, but as they are already your supplier they should have it. May take a few days to activate on the new sim.


  2. yes you can keep the number. you will require a PAC code but as you are staying with the same provider just mention it to o2 and they will sort it for you. it normally takes approx 7 days for the number to change over but as you are staying on the same network i am assuming it will be quicker.

    they said it will take up to 4-5 workin days.

    just 1 question i forgot to mention to them was i hope after that both my 02 and my other sim card both have the same numbers and it does not cancel my old sims number

    yes it will just get transferred over,,, contact 02 prior to ordering ur new phone and tell them you want to keep ur number
