  1. well i saw your other question and it will be much cheaper if you only need  liability vs full coverage.if you got that much money buy a used one and pay for the insurance with all the money you save.

  2. A used bike will be slightly less expensive.  Both Geico and Progress give quotes online.  Just go to their web site.  Based on your age, it is not going to be cheap.  Some insurance companies will also refuse to insure sport bikes.  Make sure you can get and afford the insurance before you finalize buying the bike.

  3. you can do an online estimate ... www.progressive.com

or simply call up state farm ... they're known to be the cheapest

around TX for bikes ... I'm about to switch to them

my 00 ninja zx6r was about $65/year for liability only with progressive....if you add others like bodily damage or theft it'll go up....just call the insurance companies...it'll only take like 3 minutes for them to quote you

  4. You need to call an insurance agent or broker to answer this.  There are way too many variables to consider.  Also, different agencies will give you different rates.

I just got new insurance on my custom chopper.  Companies quoted me anywhere from $108 to $250 per month.

  5. Well it depends on many thing like bike price, from where importing etc.On this site all calculation related to importing bike is given must see http://thavku.com/bikes/index.htm

  6. Too many variables such as WHERE in Texas you are, what your driving record is like and how long you've had your bike licence.

Call your insurance broker/agent and find out for yourself.

  7. Anywhere from around $200 a year for Liabilty Only to probably around $6000 a year for Full Coverage. Figure an average of $3000 for full coverage.   I find many young sportbike riders end up getting just liabilty because paying $3000-$6000 /yr for full coverage isn't worth it when they can literally buy a whole new bike in a couple years at that insurance cost.

That is honestly how much difference in insurance quotes you will get.

So you have to literally have to call as many insurers as you can.

New or used won't make a huge difference.
