If i buy a rogers pay as you go SIM card, can i put it in any rogers phone and it work correctly?

my friend has a rogers "Pay As You Go" SIM card. his previous phone broke and is now selling the SIM card. iff i buy it off him (and get all the information for it), and put it in a rogers phone, will it work? the phone i would put the SIM card in came with a contract

Yes the sim card should work, I usually change my rogers sim card with the phones I have, so if I go to a party I don't break the nice one I have, the best thing to do to make sure is just to ask to try his sim card in your phone.
