  2. I can't believe the dumb answers people give on this site.  Yes, four screws will do it.  Yes, there are some sketchy items on eBay, but far and away, most of it is reliable.

Now, to answer your question, you will have little trouble if you have a compass and a drill and a way to see the picture on the TV as you set the vertical and horizontal alignments.

  3. well i wouldnt buy it off ebay if i were you.. ive boughten many things that wernt as the pictures or descriptions says. there was this (as the description says) brand new perfect condition stearing wheel and the pic looked good to. so i bought it for my gocart and all i got was this crapy metal wheel with no grip and it was pretty much all rusted. so if u do buy the dish if may be really beat up or it might be old and falling apart. you never know with ebay.

  4. I'd beware of what you're buying. Normally you only need a 45cm dish, but in some parts of the UK you'll need a 60 cm (the top of Scotland being one). A solid dish works better than a mesh but is more susceptible to wind loading.

Usually dishes are put up using a T&K bracket:

You need to align at about 28.2 degrees east and at the correct elevation, which varies depending on where you live.

You can buy a signal finder:

  5. 10mm drill bit and 10mm rawl plugs and screws would be the best and safest option.

Make a template of the s***w holes first and mark the wall.

Dont forget you will need a 300mm drill bit to get thru the wall too (for the cable).

You will need to use masonry bits and a hammer drill.

A dish is only £25 in the UK so why bother with eBay?

Having one properly installed is probably the best way to go.

  6. your better off having installed by someone who knows what they are doing. and not buying it on ebay.. you could be buying one that doesn't work
