If i buy an airsoft gun from japan will it be two toned?

hi i live in the uk and i want to purchase an airsoft gun; however the law saying its gotta be 50% a unrealistic colour puts me off. I dont have much time to go airsofting and to join the UKARA, so i was wondering if i order from japan will the gun be 50% unrealistic colour.

no but u could just spray paint it and use  some tape and get matte colors like od green or a teal.... something tht will stand out as minimally as possible

Are you over 18? If not then forget it, as now under UK law it's a crime for someone under 18 to buy one.

Unless you're a retailer you can't join UKARA. You can register with them, but this won't effect your eligibility to import as HM Customs have no access to the UKARA database.

Unless you can prove your eligibility to import (the best means is holding a membership at your local site) you can only import two tone guns. If you hold a valid site membership you don't need to worry about two tones.

The retailer won't automatically paint your gun for you, so you need to make sure and ask them to do so if you can only import a two tone gun. They'll likely charge extra for this service. Also note that there are only  a small number of specified colours to allow it to be a two tone gun. Bright green and bright blue are two. I believe the others are bright yellow, bright red and possibly white. It needs to be more than 50% unrealistically coloured for it to avoid being classed as a realistic imitation firearm.

If you try to import a non two tone gun, HM Customs will hold the package and write to you asking for proof of your eligibility to import realistic replicas. If you can't prove your eligibility then they will seize and destroy your gun. Needless to say, your shipping insurance won't cover this! ;)
