  1. Do two things. Get very strong and practice short top speed sprints. Do 'negative emphasis' leg press, calf raises and hamstring curls every 4-7 days and do short top speed sprints. When you are strong enough try altitude drops where you jump off a chair and stick the landing so there is no bend in your ankles/knees at landing. To do 'negatives', lift with both legs and lower with one. Start slow as you get very sore first few times but then you won't after that. Strength and running spring go up quick.

  2. You have to condition yourself. Running a distance much further than 100m  at the same pace you would normally run it. Run your pace until your worn out. That will help with your speed and stamina. You can do a cardio vascular work out everyday without damaging your body. Just remember to stretch before and after. Stay hydrated!!! Also, remember to walk after you run to cool down. It's up to you and how bad you want it.

  3. There are a number of things you can do to help you,

    1. Practice.

    2. Work on your form, get someone to video you while running

    3. The way you come of the blocks can come some time off

    4. Working out, squats, leg lifts.

    5. Lots of wind-sprints.

    6. Most people don't have a parachute, but if you have a wind-breaker wear that when you are running wind-sprints, it will give you a drag but not as much as a parachute.

    7. If you have access to a swimming pool, run back and forth through the pool, run as fast as you can.

    8. Train with someone that's faster than you. If you have a real desire to make varsity, you Desiree will help you close in on their time.
