  1. Um no, that is the F word we use in insurance, FRAUD.

  2. No.It means you have a piece if worthless paper. Apart from getting your tax at Post Office, the paper document is the last check done, especially by Old Bill. They have access to Insurance databases and their computer will say whether or not car is insured anyway.

  3. I can't believe this is a serious question but the simple answer is no. If the insurance is cancelled then it is no longer valid and it doesn't matter who has the documents. Do not assume that just because you have the documents still that you are still insured.

  4. No.

The word "Cancel" means it doesn't exist anymore even if you do have the paperwork.

Is this some kind of car insurance scam you think you've got going then?

  5. Not only is it not valid, but it is illegal to pretend that it still is.  This amounts to fraud and is one of the reasons that more honest motorists have to pay more for their insurance.

  6. Of course not.

  7. When you called to cancel they keep a note of the time you cancelled any claims made after that date/time insurance does not exist, so will not be covered or paid out!

  8. Try claiming - you'll soon find out how useless documents are once you've notified the company of cancellation!

  9. No there is no way you are still insured. The documents will just prove you that you have no exisiting policy.

  10. EH no you cancelled it, how would you claim???!!!!

  11. no, and you will be asked to send the documents back,,the paper certificate is practically worthless anyway as the police know if you have or havent got insurance before they even pull you over thanks to the insurance database.

plus its people like you who make me pay over the odds for mine.

  12. If you mean your car, then the answer is that the next time you pass an A.N.P.R. camera your car will light up like a christmas tree, your will have your car impounded you will have a fine to pay and points on your licence.
